It had a very 80s feel to it but it was interesting watching several characters and pieces come together.
This stylish crime thriller weaves in chilling horror elements, wrapped in a gritty 1980s aesthetic complete with a retro synth soundtrack that pulses through its veins. The story plunges into dark, twisted territory—abduction, control, and the desperate pursuit to outrun loneliness and lost time—while amateur sleuths unravel a mystery steeped in eerie tension. Though the pacing simmers as a slow-burn, the deliberate unraveling of secrets keeps viewers hooked, especially as the stakes tighten toward a gripping climax. Characters feel grounded yet intriguing, their motivations layered but never exaggerated, while the synth-soaked atmosphere amplifies the film’s moody, unsettling vibe. Themes of manipulation and isolation simmer beneath the surface, adding emotional weight to the suspense. While it may not click for everyone, fans of gritty crime dramas and psychological thrillers will find plenty to savor here. Let the story build—its payoff is a haunting, satisfying blend of suspense and retro-style dread.
First and foremost, this is not a horror movie per se, but oh boy it's uncomfortable to watch. The 80s retro aesthetic, the creepy perfectly executed synth score. Although not for everyone, specially if you're looking for fast pace action thriller. But if you like weird, low budget, indie but not boring at all film, you're going to love this one. A truly marvelous surprise.
Can't believe someone made a convincing thriller based around the design of a synthesiser module. They really should make this into a movie franchise.
About 10 minutes of interesting film noir. After that it turns it a speculative drama about what it would be like to be in a romantic relationship with Kevin Spacey.
