What started off an eager watch ended up becoming a little boring. Overatted.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers is 30 minutes too long. Great story and practical effects, but the pacing is sluggish.

This is as solid of a remake as you will ever find. In fact, it may be better than the original. Donald Sutherland is great, as is the rest of the cast. The movie takes no time getting started as the paranoia is in full swing just 30 minutes into the film. The direction is terrific and while not gory the movie is scary because of the noises emanating from the zombie-like pod people. The ending was also a shocker.
