Had so much hope for this being funny because of Jennifer Coolidge and Bill Murray, who both carry the comedy entirely. They should have started from the end, that whole scene was so funny. Didn't need the hour-long, painstakingly slow buildup though. I got the message surrounding family, but focusing on the kid was an uninteresting and unfunny choice. He's got the most screen time and isn't even on the poster. Why was this so misdirected? There's no real story or characters, and things just happen. 'Riff Raff' explains it well, I'd skip it.
Look at the cast and enjoy, as this is a fun movie for those open, especially with this cast!
Violent, funny, black comedy that’s an all around good time! Jennifer Coolidge and Pete Davidson are scene stealers. This is one, I will definitely be recommending.
Weird to not have the main character on the poster, imo. Slow buildup to nothing much. I did find it funny at times, but there's a limit when it comes to sex jokes; can't just expect people to laugh simply for mentioning that the whole damn time. Pete Davidson's character was a fave for me, as was Lewis Pullman's (he's just a cutie patootie, sorry not sorry)
The good: We get to see Bill Murray and Ed Harris in a film together. And Murray is the bad guy! I've always liked Murray in dramatic roles - Broken Flowers comes to mind. Hell, I even liked Jennifer Coolidge in this movie - I wish she would drop roles that have her playing a ditz. The not-as-good: The rest of the movie is just alright. follow me at https://IHATEBadMovies.com or facebook IHATEBadMovies
