I love this movie, it had me laughing from start to finish and having grown up in an ethnic household and area I would say that I found the stories very relatable. Ice Cube (Craig) and Chris Tucker (Debbie) are perfect in this film as the have such great onscreen chemistry and the plot of the film is perfect as it's very straightforward, the movie is a must-watch for comedy lovers, Ice Cube fans and hip hop fans alike. Its not the most special movie in the world but if you need a good laugh then I encourage you to watch this and have some fun with this wacky comedy.

Friday is a lively, quirky film filled with colorful characters and a world that feels authentic despite its stoner-comedy setting. I'm not surprised at all by the lasting legacy of this movie and how every scene and line has spread like wildfire on the Internet. I found it hard not to come across a reference to it. It's a fun little time capsule of the 90s, where everything you see on screen is either no longer a thing or just from another era. Ice Cube and Chris Tucker form a powerful duo, sharing humor and staying positive despite the challenges they face. It's very much their show, and it's interesting to see them at the start of their careers. The story is straightforward, much like the main unemployed characters on a Friday with nothing to do. I mean, Ice Cube's character Craig gets fired from his job on his day off, and funny situations like that make up the joke itself. The whole thing was fun to watch, full of energy and memorable characters. Fridays will never be the same again, especially after this particular day in 1995.

Chris Tucker really does steal each scene he in, and where the Bye, Felicia meme and many other originated from. Ice Cube and Zeus I could say the same about them. This is a great film to start off the Friday trilogy.
