Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty is basically what happens when a movie tries to explore “modern values” but ends up performing open-heart surgery with a plastic spoon. It’s not just a bad idea, it’s a proudly stupid one. I genuinely have no clue what they’re trying to promote. Progress? Empowerment? Or just a fun little experiment in dismantling the cultural and emotional values Indian people actually respect? The film treats bringing a baby into the world like ordering a latte at Starbucks. A woman simply decides, “I want a baby. For me. Alone.” No father. No discussion. No logic. Just vibes. As if a child is a cupcake she felt like baking, don’t forget the sprinkle of lifelong trauma on top. And the funniest part? Nobody asked the baby: “Hey kid, would you like a father or not?” Who gave this woman the divine authority to decide that a whole human being doesn’t need a dad? Who crowned her Empress of Destiny? She’s out here deciding someone else’s entire life like she’s picking a new yoga mat. She literally chooses to bring a child into the world already deprived, deprived of a father’s love, protection, emotional presence, and role. She’s not just making a choice about her own lifestyle. She’s deciding to amputate half of the kid’s emotional universe before he even exists. The arrogance is… impressive, in a horror-movie kind of way. Honestly, I have amazing Indian friends, and maybe that’s why this kind of film pisses me off even more. What exactly are they trying to promote to people? Because whatever this ideology is, it’s definitely not compassion, family values, or basic common sense. This isn’t a “progressive message.” It’s a morally confused recipe for raising a child like it’s a personal project not a human being.

Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty is a delightful emotional comedy drama with its punches flowing smoothly with perfect timing and energy. Naveen carries the movie on his shoulders with his terrific presence and impeccable comedic timing. Anushka shines in the latter half of the film demonstrating her strength in emotional scenes. However, the movie starts lags a bit towards the climax. The slow-paced climax is the only downside of the movie. Despite the slight dip in the climax, this hilarious rollercoaster with its witty writing, solid performances, and LOL moments is a must-watch for comedy lovers.
