I´ll have to admit I was a bit dissapointed by this one. Not because it is bad, it isn´t. But I thought this would be more about the actual developement of the bomb, the technical stuff, the problems they faced. All this is more in the background story. A character like Oppenheimer has a rather small part. There were large parts of the show where I felt like watching a soap opera. I really liked the final episode though, the end was quite powerful. So, good show, very well produced, the cast compliments each other and gives a good performance. It´s just the story that isn´t quite up my alley.

One of my favourite shows from 2014 and one of the most underrated ones too. Excellent stuff.

Here is a show with a fantastic premise which cannot help being a soap opera instead. It’s shocking, in this day and age, the gap between network and cable show quality, still. Network should have caught up by now. But this show is a perfect example of how they haven’t. A show with better writers would have either stuck to real characters or attempted to create believable characters – and an overarching plot that doesn’t have a story of the week – instead of whatever the hell they’re doing here: everyone hates everyone else, everyone thinks everyone is out to get everyone else, and new, important facts emerge each episode just in time to create conflict, which will of course be resolved before the end of the “hour.”

Most of the time this show is painfully slow but i keep watching just for the interesting theme. I'd prefer it was more about the science of war and less about relationship drama between the wives of scientists. A missed opportunity for sure.
