This was a nice chill show, which is exactly what I was looking for after finishing up Re:ZERO, which is a bit heavy. This show takes a few unique approaches to the typical isekai formula which made it a standout, but it remained just shy of elite for me. I feel like the show is definitely targeting an older audience, which I have to admit, I appreciated. The MC is very likable and mature, he's about as far as you can get from a shouting shonen protagonist. Just a guy looking to make a chill life for himself and avoid getting caught up in the scheming machinations of the nobles of this world....unfortunately for him, many of the noble women are extremely attracted to him and his modern sensibilities. The approach to sex in this show is certainly unique, the MC is having casual sex by his second night in the new world...which was honestly shocking. He's certainly not scared of women, but he makes little to no effort in attracting them either. I believe he even stated that he didn't need women for the life he had planned, but many of them need him apparently. His casual sex encounters would not be considered ecchi (usually handled by a fade to black), and he does take monogamy seriously when decides to settle down....but like many men his age, his eyes definitely wander at times, which is played for humor quite well. The main problem with this show is the premise, the premise is stupid. The magical store trope doesn't really work for me, especially when he's lamenting about not being able to buy diesel, but he's able to buy heavy machinery. The artwork is probably slightly above average, with the animation being average at best. The action sequences however, are quite often a letdown, especially when it comes to animation. By the end, you come to care for this extremely affable MC, and the family he's built for himself. I'm certainly down to watch more should we get it.
