melo movie really coming for my throat by presenting me with my real world type: hot cringe loser obsessed w movies
It was good but it can be depressing at times. So if suicide and self harm aren't for you. I'd suggest not watching it. The second half is when she really shines in her acting performance.
Don't get confused, «Melo Movie» is a 10-episode series about love from romance to family to friendships, and yes, even break-ups and moving on. If you're thinking it's just another typical melo story, well, you're wrong. It tackles a lot of topics about love and life, and how different people handle the challenges the world throws at us. It can either remind us of how good it is to feel loved and to love someone, or give us new lessons we haven't gone through that we can use one day. Or, maybe, it's just me because I was able to relate to many of the plots that I've been through one way or another. From a parent-children relationship to how not ending a relationship properly can stop us getting back on our feet. I give it 1000 over 10 stars.
Personally, I thought the second lead couple had better chemistry and a much more interesting story. Choi Woo Shik played a very similar role to the one he had in Our Beloved Summer, and Moo Bi was very similar to the FMC of that other drama, too. Honestly, after the first couple of episodes I was surprised by how similar the vibes and rough strokes were between both dramas, and lo and behold, they were both written by the same person. And much like Our Beloved Summer, I also found this drama to be fairly boring, which, combined with how awkward and uncomfortable I was when Gyeom and Moo Bi kissed (because of the stark lack of romantic chemistry), didn't make for a very enjoyable watching experience.
