So, I just finished Season 1, and I’m not gonna lie i binged it. Elle Woods is probably one of my favorite characters of all time in rom coms and i was very excited to see there was an adaptation/spin of the movies. And it's everything that i expected. That bubbly optimistic exterior in the series is not yet accompanied by the indomitable will that we expected, instead, we're seeing it develop in the character, forged by obstacles and hurdles that Elle learns to overcome. The writing is really good, and it brings a new light as how Elle became herself. The costume design is right on point, bringing to life all those bright pink outfits into which the character shines. Lexi Minetree, does a really good job at portraying Elle, and she brightens the screen with her presence. The rest of the cast is quite good too, from Chandler Kinney (Kimberly), angry and in denial of her self, to Zak Looker (Dustin), playing the school activist. There was also James van der Beek, who died shortly after shooting this who had a minor role, and i was stunned by how emaciated he was on screen. I could go on the cast was fantastic. Add to this a very appropriate music score, cool cinematography, i'm surprised hhe show score isn't higher on Trakt. After all amidst all the drama, crime, sci-fi shows, a bit of fun and glitter should be more welcome :)

I enjoyed this and binge watched it. Love the soundtrack.

It's good to see June Diane Raphael in another prominent role. I have been a fan of her since Grace & Frankie.
