I enjoyed every moment of it and can't wait for the next season (fingers crossed) . I'm not sure why people are complaining about the predictability of time-travel but isn't this what the franchise is all about?

It’s a good watch.

I could say that it is a different story and the anime is great, I liked it although the story changes that the heroes are women but the twist they give to the story... I didn't see it forced.

Whenever watching any time travel media, I always start with the assumption that either - 1. Multiple characters will be past / present / future versions of themselves. or 2. Multiple characters will be parent (or ancestor or creator) - child of each other. It is a little disappointing when my assumption turns true. These are no longer "twists".

An ambitious animé series with some fresh air (Tokio, Anime Style, some cool twists and turns) and back to the grim and nihilistic atmosphere and violence that we love from the first Terminator (1984). Not so new is the premisse: Two go back in time, one is human, the other is a Terminator. Some scenes, p.e. the attack at the police station, are more a reference or hommage (nostalgia) than a new plot point. Unfortunatelly the show has some inconsistencies and illogical story arcs: Spoiler On: - Malcolm Lee was born 2025, but his mother did time travel 2022 back to 1997. How was he then born by her in 2025? The makers should have skipped the idea, that she‘s his mother and it would have been fine. - The time travel technology is already 2022 in possession of the resistance, so the intel about Skynet developing a secret time travel project in the Malcolm timeline 2045 makes no real sense. - The Terminator tells Kenta in the final episode, that Kenta sent the Terminator back in time. But in Episode 1 the creation of this Terminator is shown, he walks through a room full of deactivated Terminators and enters the time machine. No Kenta there. The Terminator must have lied to Kenta. Why? - Would you go back in time on the date, when something started/went online, to stop it or would you go back earlier? Why do you send the Terminator and Eiko back to 29.08.1997 and not earlier to stop Malcolm? - pacing problems: The main characters run away from the Terminator, but he catches up and catches them, although the Terminator is just walking. Spoiler Off The score is mostly throughout the episodes a sad piano melody. A little more variability would have been apprecheated. I liked the grim, dark take reminding to the first Terminator movie from 1984.
