That's why I don't have expectations anymore... Another popular male main character punished to be a sidekick to a very unlikable girlboss... Animation and soundtrack was good though.

Adi Shankar clearly is "longtime" fan. Another garbage from netflix. Oh, ackchyually demons want to live peacefully and leave hell. They added oppression and inequality agenda to fucking devil may cry. Fuck em.
I don't know what people don't like. It has the action, it has Dante's vibe, it has the characters from games. The only thing it does not have is the second season. Yet.
