> The Journey is sweet but the destination is bitter f**ked _A Journey to Love_ is a journey of a spy chief & assassin with their entrouge falling in love in their journey for redemption and rescue their obnoxious emperor.The plot was consistent although with cheat codes as they travel to the Capital of An and until they rescue the emperor but this is where shit rolls downhill with the cop outs , assassinations , throne wars and an beiyan invasion . All characters even the emperor had a redemption arc but the amount of deaths follow this is almost a red flag from enjoying the show. > One of the badass, consistent and well written female lead Ren Ruyi /Xin she is cold , calculative assassin but with a heart of gold dust ... IMHO she is best written female character after MingLan . Ning Yuanzhou also compliments her very well without overshadowing or underrepresented Next favourite character is Yang Ying ; how this timid caring girl grew into a brave decisive princess all while she is betrayed by family love but found new family & maybe love only to lose it before she could realize it but braves to survive... Also Chu Yue the bratty tomboyish princess who looked down on being engaged to parmour actually falls in love with one but couldn't grasp it but turns over a new leaf. Qian Zhao/ Sun Lan / Yuan Lu / Yu Shishan - [spoiler] we lost many good perfect men in the journey back to home [/spoiler] Only character i hated consistently was Li Tongguang hypocritical social climbing psychopath who was ready to force his master into an unhappy relationship ... no amount of good deeds or desire for peace can redeem this creep and [spoiler] Yang Ying or Chu Yue had to married or engaged with this POS is a low point of the show ; also for letting the main couple to death [/spoiler] Ever since Ren was saying i only want your baby and not you ; i was ready for a sad ending but god there were so many good men lost in last episodes... so brace yourself for a sad ending but the love story is deep, mature, sexy and romantic. The brotherhood is strong. Character growths were abundant and I fell in love with each of the characters. With this show, it’s definitely about the journey.
