not sure what this guys on about. but this is a good watch yeah its not as good as hellsing ultimate but its still worth watching.

The original Gonzo adaptation — Alucard as aristocratic horror archetype is the correct instinct, and the Victorian gothic atmosphere works in the series' best episodes. The divergence from Hirano's manga becomes a weakness in the final act. Hellsing Ultimate later rendered this version largely redundant, but it holds its own as atmospheric vampire action.

After a strong start, the entire show seems to fall apart really quickly. What started as a compelling supernatural thriller devolved into something really aimless and uneven. It relied too much on vibe rather than an actual cohesive plot. It’s a difficult watch as the show leans into a teenagers’ power fantasy as Alucard is the ultimate overpowered, untouchable, edgelord and the narrative exists to mostly stroke that ego. Style can only carry a show so far when it lacks the depth or substance required to back it up.

great art style, amazing music and balls to the wall entertaining action. This short vampire show proofs sometimes the style is the substance.

Really enjoyed the tone of this show, even if the story was a bit uneven, with an incomplete ending. Alucard is really cool, as is Integra, and Seras is a fairly unique protagonist.
