[Prime Video] A true crime that goes beyond the simple investigation of a crime, which ends up being less important than the social contexts it describes, in a rural Sweden that seems to be halfway between the last century and this one, where patriarchal structures and male power dynamics persist. By focusing on two female characters, it builds a representation of sexist social structures, but at the same time envelops the story in a slow but suffocating pacing, a dark and tense atmosphere that doesn't need to show acts of violence explicitly, but which always causes discomfort, especially in the description of the moral degradation of the culprits.
