Was totally surprised that I loved it. Washed out lawyer coming back, evil defense conglomerate, divorced couple with a kid in-between... Been there, done that, right? Watch it. Loved the story, the acting, everything! Rarely a 10 second stretch that is boring. And the story is getting bigger and bigger with plausible add-ons.
Kind of superficial for an 8 hour crime drama -- the writers should watch some good Nordic Noir series and try again. The courtroom scenes were unrealistic and the series has a disappointing ending. Acting wasn't so great, but could've been compensated for with a better story.
**Better Call Billy** Goliath starts interesting but needs a firm cutting. There is too much unnecessary fluff. I love Billy Bob Thornton though. He really holds this series together, the other actors are fine but not more.
Watched season one and two -both very good - highly recommend. 9/10
I just stumbled upon this show today. Billy Bob seems to be setting up the title character for something good. I’m also getting a strong Californication style vibe from this show, which is great. It’s about time we got a show with an adorable and talented loser archetype leading it. If you’re fed up with all the Netflix style cultural Marxist nonsense, this is be a good show to add to your watch list as an alternative. I know I will be.
