Hugh Laurie est un acteur, producteur de cinéma, auteur-compositeur-interprète et écrivain britannique, né le 11 juin 1959 à Oxford.
Il joue principalement au Royaume-Uni dans des séries télévisées et téléfilms, notamment dans les séries à sketchs A Bit of Fry and Laurie et Jeeves and Wooster avec l'acteur Stephen Fry. Il est aussi connu pour ses rôles dans La Vipère noire, avec Rowan Atkinson. De 2004 à 2012, il interprète le docteur Gregory House dans la série télévisée américaine Dr House, rôle pour lequel il obtient le Golden Globe du meilleur acteur dans une série dramatique en 2006 et 2007. Au cinéma, il joue dans Stuart Little et À la poursuite de demain. Il assure aussi quelques doublages de films d'animation, notamment dans Monstres contre Aliens.
