The movie had everything it needed for a good story. The mysterious disappearance of a lover that makes the heroine doubt her sanity, a suspicious husband who keeps an eye on everyone. His mother playing her game and the servants keeping their mouths shut. To make such a movie out of this is creative impotence

Movie is really predictable but its good to see Joseph Marcell on the screen again.
