Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024) - ❤x4 These seem to just keep getting worse. Music is worse, and the storyline is the same tired theme as the others. I think enough is enough. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

Hmm you can tell this wasn’t a Kenny Ortega film like the others. It was the shortest of the 4 films and had a generic plot with no major twists. There’s a lot of adults in this one, China’s (Uma) role has like no screen time and felt forced to keep The film “connected”. They introduced a lot of “new” people who really didn’t have any impact in the plot, Takes a while to get into the main plot of the film, but by then it’s basically over, it introduces a number of points such as a Homecoming Dance, some Cooking book that don’t really have any impact to the plot per say and it’s just glanced over once the group resolve the main plot. We’ve watched it a few times now the soundtrack is pretty decent and on par with the others, story still makes me laugh as it’s so pointless but it’s a good quick watch of something Disney Original.

That was unwatchable in every conceivable way. I made it for 12 minutes before moving on.

Makes me miss the old Descendants cast, but we need to let go of the past and continue with the future.
