They made the headmaster black but whitewashed Clawdeen (and made her orange) They made Frankie neurodivergent but took away non-verbal autistic Ghoulia They made Lagoona Latine instead of First Nation (Australia) [this was messed up, cause now the groups are going to fight each other) They used a white woman for Cleo and painted her darker. Sure they added (like making Draculaura Filipino) and fixed (like making Abbie desi), but they also took so much (including Clawdeen being a canonical lesbian), and they messed up the Non-binary rep they "added" with Frankie. Also, the plot was bad, and contradicted the original Monster High, and the costume design was terrible and tacky (like Deuce where is the punk and Heath - it's giving 2 dollar wig, Frankie where is your prep look, Clawdeen what's up with the jacket, Cleo where are the bandages, Lagoona you look like slime, Hyde why aren't you blue). The witchcraft being "human" was very annoying - especially because there were witches in the original show (and they were famous) The Holt-hyde plot was bad Oh and the Deuce x Clawdeen subplot i skipped because imagine destroying Cleo and Deuce's amazing relationship so he can end up with a lesbian.

Monster High: The movie (2022) - ❤x6 As long as you skip all the musical interludes, it's kind of a fun little movie. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
