There are not many films that can get me to laugh out loud any more... This can!!!! Even better than the first one, with better jokes and even better spoofs. I love this!!!

Hot Shots! Part Deux is a welcome sequel that comes surprisingly close to matching the first. Leaning heavily into the Rambo parody angle was a smart move — the jungle warfare setting gives it a strong central theme to build the jokes around, and some of those bits are genuinely inspired. In some ways, I enjoy parts of this more than the original. The escalation is bigger, the references are sharper, and it fully embraces its absurdity. That said, I did find it a bit less consistently funny overall. The gag-to-hit ratio isn’t quite as tight, even if the highs are still strong. It’s still a good time and a solid entry in the spoof canon. Honestly, I’m a little surprised they never pushed for a third installment during that era. Rating: 2.5/5 – 70% – Worth Watching

The hilarity continues in _Hot Shots! Part Deux_, a parody film based on _Rambo III_. When a hostage situation arises in Iraq, Topper Harley is recruited to lead a rescue mission. In addition to the Rambo films, there are parodies of _Basic Instinct_, _T2_, _Hunt for Red October_, _Lady and the Tramp_, and _Star Wars_. The humor’s a little broader and more slapsticky than in the first film, but there are still some clever and outrageously funny comedy bits. It’s not as witty or well-written as the original, but _Hot Shots! Part Deux_ delivers plenty of laughs.

Another excellent spoof movie mainly based on Rambo and Terminator. Great if you know the movies it is based on.

I want a Topper V Rambo, Last Man Standing movie.
