Parallel - ❤x6 For the most part, this is not a bad movie. It has the general look & feel of Jordan Peele's Getr Out (2017) and Us (2019). But it lacks the psychological darkness and depth of Peele's movies. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

Coherence but in the forest, this one got a bit to unpack. I liked the idea. I liked the concept. I didn't like the execution. First and foremost, the main actress is horrible acting. Like truly C-tier, maybe even D. Aldis Hodge gives a decent acting but nothing to write about tbh. Now, for the plot, is highly inconsistent. Some decisions by the characters (both DOING and NOT DOING) are too questionable. The "rules" of the travelling are not clear nor truly explained at any point. In an infinite set of "spaces" where only small and minor diferences set the worlds aside, somehow [spoiler] Vanessa managed to return to her own one (without explanation) and found the Explorer Alex's world the same way [/spoiler]. Some scenes don't have too much context and since the rules aren't explained, it is sometimes hard to follow which version of the characters or world we are watching. It also is hinted that the travel doesn't only involves space, but also time; but once again, not truly explained or delved into. And somehow, again without explanation, [spoiler] Vanessa managed to find a world where his son is alive in her last travel (where also it is hinted that Martel also isn't from that world neither, but no confirmation) [/spoiler]. In general, I liked it; it had potential to be a truly mindbending top tier movie even with the low budget, but the poorly execution only gave it a 6.

This is like "Coherence" but with a much more different approach. It's definitely worth the watch but it's not as good as Coherence was.

I throughly enjoyed this film! I'm wanting a part two! Also, it makes me think are there really other life dimensions out there? :face_with_monocle::face_with_monocle:🤔🤔
