An interesting take on the Simulation Hypothesis. I was rather skeptic about this movie and thought I was going to be bored out of my skull (i.e., yet another mediocre indie movie trying to do some "out of the box" thinking), but it ended up being mildly intriguing. It doesn't actually offer anything new, but the ending pays off (sort of). A nice time waster for non-hardcore sci-fi nuts.
honestly better than i expected. it didn't feel contrived or unhinged like a lot of movies that address these kinds of theories. i'm not convinced that the mandela effect isn't just false memory and groupthink at work (my background is in psychology after all) but i definitely remember it being berenstein but pronounced berenSTEEN when i watched the animated show and i'm just. so mad about it whenever i think about it.
So boring, I couldn't make it through the first 20 minutes!
Definitely has potential, but the 2nd half is when it got confusing and lost me.
You can skip this one. Expected the movie to kick things sooner but it left all the wackiness to the last 5 minutes or so.
