Going in unaware of this stylistic choice, it takes some initial concentration to readjust to the poetic dialect (something I hadn’t experienced since my university days) but the rhythm eventually settles and enhances the authenticity of the adaptation. Riz Ahmed delivers a deeply committed and tragic portrayal of Hamlet, fully capturing the character’s psychological descent as the weight of grief, betrayal, and revenge takes hold. His performance anchors a story steeped in themes of moral corruption and inner conflict. Ultimately, “Hamlet” continues to prove its relevance in today’s world, as its exploration of greed, manipulation, disloyalty, and unethical decision-making mirrors the very real consequences of human behavior on those around us.
