Watching the trailer, it looks like this was trying to rip off Pixar's Up. Thankfully, they managed to do their own thing here. While the animation was not the best, it was good enough to tell this very heartwarming story. Judging by the dedication and the scenes in the credit, this was a highly personal project for the director which made this short film extra special.

The animation is spectacular, but the story is as basic and predictable as they come. More of a techno demo than anything else.
