Was that a true story? I could swear it seemed like it was. My Uncle, Gerald Bowden, gave me the book when I was a child...the inscription read, "Mike, you will come to understand this." I didn't read it until I past my teens, but it was all the more beautiful since I could understand the symbolism and poignant subtlety. Thank you, Uncle Dake, and thank you to the film makers for this fresh spin of realism.
