Stylish, Flamboyant, Well-Made Attack is a slick, stylish, action packed flick with well choreographed set pieces, and a storyline inspired from many hollywood films. John shoulders this film entirely and carries the super soldier avatar with finese. With a limited budget, Attack offers the right adrenaline rush and pumping action with a tinge of bollywood drama attached to it. Kudos to the entire production crew, and the actors who with a confined budget doesn't compromise on a well shot action film. John delivers always when he matches up for a action entertainer. The sound design by Shashwat Sachdev well taken care during the action scenes but the songs doens't stay with you like they did in his previous work in URI. It is one of those films where the ambition is way cooler than the final stitching, but at least Lakshya Raj Anand swings for something fresh instead of recycling 90s patriotism leftovers again. John Abraham is surprisingly sharp here, the guy finally gets a role where his stone-face vibe actually fits the character. The action is slick, the tech angle is fun, and the pacing hits better than most Bollywood “hi-tech” fantasies that usually look like rejected TV ads. The problem is the emotional track feels stapled on, the world-building is thin, and sometimes the film acts like it’s too proud of its own concept to deepen it. Still, for a homegrown sci-fi-action hybrid, it’s bold, lean, and way more entertaining than people give it credit for. A solid attempt trapped inside a budget tug-of-war.
