pleasant enough slasher fare. the intersection of how relatively grounded the stuff with the killer here was with some of the filmmaking and score could've convinced me this was a tv movie if it wasn't for the gore. Jennifer Jason Leigh was great here and some of the stuff in the climax captured a level of intensity similar to Wait Until Dark even.
Like The Love Boat: you watch it for Lauren Tewes and nothing else. Decent directing is wasted on a ridiculous story (e.g., a journalist implores her audience to report anything unusual to the police, then she goes directly back to her apartment complex and watches a man change out of bloody clothes in her parking garage and doesn't call the police or save the clothes...). Still, it was fun to watch Ms Tewes and a baby Jennifer Jason Leigh.
This movie is inept on many levels. Almost a spoof.
