The movie kicks into gear during the final half hour but up until that point it's all a bit of a slog.
This has all the components of movies I like except good writing. The ending is preposterous and the whole premise is unclear.
Night Raiders - ❤x5 I found this to be a very slow and dull movie. Maybe I missed something or I'm just a bit slow but - I never really understood what the story was even all about - stuff happens, then other stuff happens then it gets weird and then it ends. And I'm not even going to mention that I had to "read" half the movie which I absolutely hate. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
Like a used Plymouth, it's cheap and clunky but it works. This indie flick about a dystopian future where the Dystopians want to put all the kids in a special academy to brainwash them (think private religious schools) is not about night raiders. It's about a woman and her daughter trying to keep this cliched beater running.
Very drawn ou If you are looking for post-apocalyptic dystopian female driven story, I'd recommend Creamerie as another NZ based production - but a lot more watchable
