parallels would have made an excellent tv-show, too bad FOX didn't invest in it. P.S. this is not a movie, it was meant to be a pilot for a tv-show that's why it's inconclusive.

This NEEDS to become a TV series, especially with that cliffhanger.

An interesting science fiction thriller, Parallels is full of mystery and intrigue. The story follows a brother and sister who go in search of their missing father and discover a strange building that transports them to different parallel dimensions. Originally conceived of as a television pilot, there’s a lot of attention paid to setting up the characters and the rules of shifting through dimensions. Yet the focus of the plot is the mystery of the building, its nature and purpose, which is quite compelling. Still, there’s no real resolution to anything, and some the logic is questionable. Yet despite its open-endedness, Parallels is an entertaining film that explores some fascinating concepts.
