Trash movie, so far away from the book

Underrated movie. Incredible camera work and shots. I like how minimalist and realistic it is, especially portraying the life in the camp, immersive, unfortunately. It's not melodramatic, unlike many similar movies, there are a few poetic scenes. Emotional and physical suffering is shown in subtle and way more atrocious ways.
[La 2] Builds the horror of dehumanization correctly, through emotional long shots and a chronicle of degradation that stops at Auschwitz while the two fugitives seek freedom. The second part shows ignorance and disbelief, abandons horror, somewhat indebted to "Son of Saul" (2015), to reflect on the different degrees of complicity. United States decided against bombing Auschwitz-Birkenau and the extermination of prisoners continued until the end of the war.
