Synopsis
Charles est célibataire. Seul compte son petit cercle d'amis, composé de Fiona, Gareth, Tom, Matthew et Scarlett, sa colocataire. L'amour ne le tente pas et quand il fait la connaissance de Carrie lors d'un mariage où il officie en tant que témoin, il n'imagine en rien la passion qui va l'envahir. Car Charles tombe amoureux de Carrie. Et ses retrouvailles quelques mois plus tard avec la demoiselle, sur le point de se marier avec un riche Écossais, ne vont que confirmer les sentiments qu'il éprouve pour elle.

I didn't really care for Charles. He is kind of a dick, especially at the end. The movie is pretty boring for the most part and not that funny.

Quite sweet and funny, did not expect it to be so British! Matthew and David absolutely carried in my opinion.

I don't share the general aversion when it comes to romcoms. Even the most simple movies often make a pleasant watch. It's not even a comedy for the most part. This isn't a bad movie though. But I don't like the chemistry between Grant and MacDowell (Grant and Roberts harmonized much better). The movie lies too much tailored to an international audience that can watch an upperclass version of England that they mistake for the real UK.
