Synopsis
New York, début des années 60. Au cœur de l’effervescente scène musicale et culturelle de l’époque, Bob Dylan, énigmatique jeune homme de 19 ans, arrive dans le West Village depuis son Minnesota natal, avec sa guitare et un talent hors normes qui changeront à jamais le cours de la musique américaine. Alors qu’il noue d’intimes relations durant son ascension vers la gloire, il finit par se sentir étouffé par le mouvement folk et, refusant d’être mis dans une case, fait un choix controversé qui aura des répercussions à l’échelle mondiale…

Who is Bob Dylan? Who are any of these other characters? Why does anyone do or want anything? The movie doesn't know either.

A Complete Unknown feels surprisingly vacant. This may be Timothée Chalamet's greatest performance, but you leave the film not knowing any more about Dylan than before it started. I understand the title directly relates to the person, but just recreate a concert if it's about nothing but his music.

Acting is really good. The movie could have been 30 minutes and said what it needed to. Plot really kicks in the last 20 minutes or so.

A bit dissapointing in truth. The acting is great with Chalamet portraying Dylan brilliantly. The story reads like a greatest hits rather than a biopic.
