That was a lovely film that was played out great with a good performance from freddie that’s definitely become a decent actor.
Stilted dialogue (think bad Woody Allen) and lead actors who seemingly can't emote make this somewhat of a disappointment.
Could have been better with a different last third. But not bad either.
As an artsy kid this movie really spoke to me, and that nostalgia makes me rate this higher than I probably otherwise would. It's unabashedly indie, good soundtrack and solid performances. I enjoyed the slice of life approach and the theme of apathy rather than excitement in the face of graduation was a unique take. Both George and Sally are complex and at times very unlikable, but definitely interesting characters to observe.
I was expecting more, but it's not that bad.
