Really? No..really?! I didn't read the book, but i doubt it that the book is a mess, as this movie was. The script is really confusing, making the story confusing aswell. The actors...ohh my god. What were they thinking? The movie is a mess, with actors making 'question mark' faces all the time. Ps: Worst leading lady EVER. Even worst than Kirsten Stewart.
If you're looking for a love story with angels, watch City of Angels (the original, not the 1998 remake). This sub-Twilight nonsense is bad, and a real disappointment from the usually reliable Scott Hicks (Shine). Woeful dialogue, bad acting, and a sudden ending means this movie descends into the depths, rather than attaining salvation.
Yup I would have ate this up back when in 2018 bad idea watching it now lol Weird edition and the pacing is weird as well I know Dan and Luce are supposed to know each other from a thousand lifetimes but the little time or moments they had together in this didn't make me want to see them together or believe their chemistry it was like meh I didn't believe their love and I saw more chemistry with Cam rather than with Daniel And how horrible was when they were flying Hahahha I cracked up I would have liked more context on the lore got lost at times I never watched twighlit I guess this is the equivalent to that lol
I Definitely got Twilight vibes. Even had to look up which came first
Apparently very disliked but I honestly really enjoyed my time here. I'm a fan of the book series and, though it's mostly gothic teenage drama, it works for what it is. I thought the movie had excellent casting and played into the gothic vibes of the book very well (I mean I picked up the book because of its cover, which has a vibe you either love or really dislike so there's that).
