[spoiler] Local boy chasing his dream of living in the big city is forced to come home where he is reintroduced to his old flame who is now dating his high school bully - a conveniently violent and brutish jerk who is also the town sheriff - and then accidentally awakens a wish granting demon because of course. [/spoiler] The two-dimensional characters, puerile relationship drama, extremely regressive representation of the mentally ill would be enough to make a much better movie into a sack of crap, but there's almost nothing redeemable about this one. The whole thing is a senseless, erratic mess and finishing it was more of a relief than anything else.

I wished for a decent movie. My wish never come true. Darn genies never get anything right!
