Kinda tank action where every shell has to be fired in slow mo. Huge budget - no value.

The film is obviously a bit biased and I can see why some people see it as propaganda. I don't have any troubles with that actually, i just think the film is a bit too much over the top. Very, very unrealistic plot (the intro was amazing and I was really hoping for a Russian 'Fury' clone) but things got really bad really fast. The slowmos were nice in the beginning but were repeated too much, the romantic plot was kinda poor and at some point I almost had to laugh how poorly the Tiger tank was portrayed in the movie.

I enjoy both WWII movies and tanks, so I figured I'd check this one out - mainly just to see how far they'd push the 'superiority' and 'propagandist' angles in regards to the T-34 tank. Sure enough, they pushed them well enough. The plot is simple, yet a little silly in itself, with quite a few decent enough tank duels that are ruined mainly because of the excessive use of 'bullet cam' after the tank rounds are fired, constant deflections and/or near misses or grazes on the armour (mainly all conveniently in favour of the T-34!). You just find it all hard to believe and question the plausibility when the German Tiger tank was one of the most feared weapons on the battlefield. Want to watch a better tank movie? Watch Fury instead.

Decent tank movie, +1 for Dolby Digital surround (explosions) sound!
