Lucky Day is a mediocre and formulaic action film. When Red gets out of prison after doing time for a bank robbery he returns to his wife and child, but upon learning of his release a contract killer comes after him looking to get revenge for the death of his brother. Starring Luke Bracey, Nina Dobrev, and Crispin Glover, the cast isn’t too bad, but their performances are pretty weak. And the plot isn’t very good either, hitting all the usual clichés and tropes. Still, the action sequences are kind of fun and some of the comedy works. While it’s entertaining, Lucky Day is rather forgettable and generic.

Luc is iconic, and showing a criminal in his family life could be interesting, but the screenplay does not stand up. Anyway, very good directing and photography.
