La vengeance parle plus fort que les mots.
Un avocat fait vœu de silence jusqu'à ce qu'il découvre qui a tué sa femme et sa fille et qu'il se venge.

It's as if Banderas is trying to become the next Liam Neeson mature action star, what with this and Security. The latter is fairly entertaining, but this is very by the numbers, and not worth your time. The narration doesn't help - did the filmmakers not remember the motto, 'show don't tell?'
Decent vigilante flick. The outcome is interesting, and raises some good questions, especially for this genre. The rest is fairly by-the-numbers though...
The trailer showed an ok to interesting story. But then... Coincidence hopping and the amazing 1 minute fitness routine to turn normal to Superman. Acting was good but everything else was bland. .
Acts of Vengeance is one of those movies you can watch without much effort... and forget just as quickly. Antonio Banderas tries to bring some weight to his character, but not even his usual charm can save a script that feels like it was written on autopilot. The idea of a silent, stoic revenge could have been interesting if the direction had shown a bit more personality or energy. The action scenes are serviceable at best, but they never really become exciting, and the moments that should hit hard just feel routine. Throwing in Marcus Aurelius as a philosophical excuse sounds good on paper, but in practice it feels more like a gimmick than something that adds real depth. And Paz Vega... honestly, her character has absolutely no purpose in the story. She's there because someone thought the movie needed a female character, and that's about it. In short, this is a low-budget revenge thriller that might entertain you if you keep your expectations very low, but it definitely leaves you thinking Banderas deserved something way better.
I have to say that _Acts of Vengeance_ is a thrilling ride from start to finish. Antonio Banderas delivers an intense and compelling performance as a man seeking revenge for the murder of his wife and daughter, and the film's tight script and well-choreographed action scenes keep the excitement levels high throughout. While the film may not break any new ground in terms of plot or characterization, it's a solid entry in the revenge thriller genre that's sure to satisfy.
