Might've been a bit too long, gone a bit too overboard with the fictional part of the story but daaamn those were some pretty crazy final 20 minutes.
_The Battleship Island_ is based on a true story about Korean forced labour in a Japanese mine (on an island) at the end of the World War II. But that's not the film. The film is a cinematic voyage to _The Battleship Island_, a destination you won't soon forget like a vacation that makes permanent memories or lets you reminisce long after you've returned from your holiday to your day to day. There are certainly some things I didn't like about _The Battleship Island_, but right now, tonight, still bathing in the glow of this film, I can't think of them.
