Quand un patient défiguré vient la consulter, une psychiatre revoit en boucle l’attaque qui l’a elle‐même traumatisée.

The film isn't particularly great but it did build up a sense of mystery... until the end when it explains everything in heavy exposition. A mishmash of genres, Clinical is never quite sure what kind of film it wants to be. Badly in need of therapy.
🎶 time to list all the mental health inaccuracies that i can't let go of because i'm a virgo 🎶 • practicing psychiatrists do not provide therapy that is not their focus and frankly they're not trained for it?? i guess i can use this to ignore all her future shitty therapy decisions at least • did this woman seriously just say "i'm not like other psychiatrists" • if your therapist tells you "we are going to do xyz" or "i need you to xyz" with no inquiry as to whether you actually want to do the thing, GET A NEW THERAPIST • the thing she calls exposure therapy is prolonged exposure therapy at best but is technically just a portion of cognitive behavioral therapy • WHY ARE TAPED PATIENT SESSIONS BEING SHARED • WHY IS SHE TELLING ONE PATIENT ABOUT ANOTHER PATIENT IN SO MUCH DETAIL
the movie is bad, just... bad
Ugh. Criminally mundane, clinically inane.
Fell asleep 3 times and wish I'd just snoozed on
