Synopsis
Marshall est basé sur l'incroyable histoire du futur juge de la Cour suprême Thurgood Marshall et l'un des cas les plus marquants de sa vie. Il suit le jeune avocat au Connecticut très conservateur pour défendre un chauffeur noir accusé d'agression sexuelle et tentative de meurtre sur son employeur, une femme blanche. Muselé par un tribunal ségrégationniste, Marshall s'associe avec un jeune avocat juif courageux et, ensemble, ils monteront la défense dans un environnement de racisme et d'antisémitisme. Thurgood Marshall, né le 2 juillet 1908 à Baltimore (Maryland) et mort le 24 janvier 1993 à Bethesda (Maryland) est le premier Noir à avoir siégé, de 1967 à 1991, à la Cour suprême des États-Unis.

Boseman is fast becoming one of the finest actors of this generation, and he brings to life one chapter of Marshall's career with aplomb. Credit to both men - a celebrated and accomplished lawyer, and the actor who plays him. A good film.

I've gotta watch more movies with Chadwick Boseman. This movie was very good, but it was really him that drew me in.

A solid cast. Chadwick Boseman and Josh Gad make a great pair in this courtroom drama. Reading up on the story, a few liberties were taken, but the film had a great mix of drama and humor.
