Turbulence is not a good movie, it's a muddled mess and ironically scattered. But it's a fun ridiculous slice of late 90s trash that's aged like a fine rancid wine. Between Brendan Gleeson's silly (texas?) accent and Liotta's tour de farce performance it's a wild ride.
Even if the movie is from 1997 the style, shooting, the camera and story-construction is very similar to the typical late 80' and eary 90' movies. The screenwriter uses this story-mechanism but modifies it with a little modification (you will see it after 30 miniutes). The movie wants to be like this style of movies. And the movie is like this. But is this a good movie style in 2013? I don't think so, but for me was it fun and i enjoyed the ride :) btw. In this movie Ray Liota proofs that he can be a real good actor. In every second of the movie you can see that he had fun playing his role of the mysterious prisoner. In the end 6/10
The landing as you can is already automatic.
Just finished watching the new kino 4K scan of turbulence. I thought the movie was a lot of fun.
