It's a shame this film's plot was as weak as it was because it has a talented cast and the setting (while not wildly original) was great and filmed in a stunning location. Full disclosure: I've not seen the first _Dark Woods_ film so maybe that would have helped with the plot making sense ([spoiler]such as the blind girl with the string and the nurse with the beak attached to her forehead, wtf?? lol[/spoiler]). As it stands, however, if this film's story had been done by a more competent writer, this could have been in the 8/9 out of 10 territory as pretty much all the other factors were there - though admittedly the scares were pretty non-existent. It's a gripping film but not particularly scary. I've certainly watched far worse. The talented cast and setting is certainly what kept my attention for its 90 minute runtime - I just wish there had been more explanation as to what the hell was going on/happened!
