Holy fucking shit balls. I will be sure to say as little without giving anything away. And don’t watch any trailers! Just go in blind. Tadanobu Asano is perfect for the role, exuding max aura as the kids are saying it these days. The camerawork is INSANE. The special effects lean into the lack of color making them look hella realistic. There is lots of powerful imagery produced from various forms of art like stop motion. The music had to be perfect and it is! I don’t say this often but the finale alone is peak cinema. The plot is pretty straight forward but actually fuck the plot because “He conducts electricity! He talks to reptiles! He’s the man! Dragon Eye Morrison!!!”
