If you thought the Part I was bad, this is even worse. Part II is boring and is just lazy writing.
Code 8 Part II - ❤x6 Sadly this was not much better than "Code 8 (2019)". Plus this sequel felt more like a TV episode rather than a movie. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
Similarly bad to the first - maybe even a pinch worse…
With a better story, better special effects, and better character development, Code 8: Part II builds on the core concept of the original film and expands the action. The edgy buddy chemistry between Robbie and Stephen Amell is where this film succeeds. Both characters represent the alienation of the almost caste-like system for powered people in a repressive socioeconomic society. The franchise is an X-Men homage, where both men feel they know what may be best for someone with powers.
It was as good as the first movie. Movies like this make me guess what will happen. I've watched it so many times, maybe that's why. The movie felt like something was missing, but I couldn't understand what it was. The acting, plot and effects were good. It moves at a slow pace. At the end of the movie, there is a reference to a sequel. I hope it comes early 😁
