Synopsis
Une femme qui rentre chez elle s'endort et fait des rêves saisissants qui peuvent ou non se dérouler dans la réalité. Par le biais d'images répétitives et d'un décalage complet avec la vision objective du temps et de l'espace, ses sombres désirs intérieurs se manifestent à l'écran.

Rewatched a 2nd time today and it's still interesting and affecting. I wish more Maya Deren works were available on TV.

Way more interesting to me than anything Bunuel did. More than images for the sake of shock, the disjointedness here lent itself to an exploration of the Woman's psyche within a semi-coherent narrative structure. Felt more Lynchian than Bunuelian.
