The same year that gave us vampire classic The Lost Boys also gave this poor effort. Its as predictable as they come, and lacks bite in all major areas. Fangs but no fangs!
typical teen comedy dráma from the 80s. its all good. peace
A 1980s teen comedy, which just happens to include vampires. And a cast of surprisingly recognisable actors, all in their younger years
Robert Sean Leonard. That's all I have to say.
For some reason horror comedies were all the rage in the 1980s. In particular two teen vampire comedies: _MBFIAV_, and _Once Bitten_, which was release two years earlier. I'd say this one is better, overall, than _Once Bitten_, however the two are quite similar. Our lead, Jeremy, is bitten by a female vampire. Soon after this, he has to contend with vampire life, being hunted by two vampire hunters, suspicious parents, and a new girlfriend. So, yeah, the movie is pretty much _Once Bitten_, only with two bumbling Van Helsings. A standout performance for me was Amelia Kinkade as a punk, dancing in a bar. This was before _Night of the Demons_, where she would play a goth girl, who dances in a spooky house. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes '80s comedies.
