What a great find. The original plan was to watch the 1978 version, but unfortunately, I lost access to Kanopy, so I headed to Tubi to watch this one instead. I totally wasn't expecting this to be a 'when nature strikes back' horror, thought it would be something like _Eden Lake_. The US title for this is _Nature's Grave_ and that makes more sense. This is a slow-burn eco-horror/psychological drama which has a sense of unbearable tension that gets slowly overwhelming and really makes you think that something very horrible about to happen in every second of the film. Boasting creepy sound design with lots of scream-like noises which effectively get under your skin, with scenes of marital drama which are absolutely devastating. Can't recommend enough!
