Synopsis
Gabe, 11 ans, adore jouer au basket avec ses trois meilleurs copains et se balader dans son quartier à New York. Il ne s'intéresse pas aux filles... jusqu'à ce qu'il rencontre Rosemary à son club de karaté. Gabe est fasciné, même s'il ne comprend pas tout des sentiments aussi passionnés que perturbants qui le tourmentent... Lorsque Rosemary lui apprend qu'elle va bientôt partir en colonie de vacances, et que pire encore, elle ira sans doute dans une autre école à la rentrée, Gabe est effondré. Jamais, dans sa jeune vie, il n'a connu d'enjeu aussi important : il doit tout faire pour garder son premier amour...

[8/10] I rewatched _Little Manhattan_ for the first time in years, and it was just as great as I remembered. It's just a cute story, and I love how goofy it gets in parts. It really leans into the fun of being a kid. There are also some surprisingly realistic moments—some fun, some serious. Most of all, I enjoyed that the viewer gets so much insight into Gabe’s thoughts and behaviors. He is such an endearing little boy! I’d honestly recommend this film to almost anyone! Especially if you're stuck home with a cold or the flu. It will take your mind of the misery for a little while, I'm sure. (It worked for me!)
