Wasn't the worst horror movie ever, parts had me creeped out.Especially the twisted animals and humans! Not bad, not sure if I'd choose to watch again though.

Predictable at parts, but still engrossing. The dog with the upside down head was awesome. Exorcism scene was intense.

I don't watch much horror abd nybe that's the reason that i felt scared in the first half. The first half is better in every way, the mystery, the uncomfortable cinematography, the uneven tone, it was all going fine till the mystery resolved. Even though the Hebrew mythology angle is interesting on paper, it don't have a genuinely gripping story, and the film quickly settles into loud scares and repetitive dread. Odette Annable shows what she can do, Gary Oldman adds brief gravitas, yet the script never deepens the fear. It’s creepy in flashes, noisy for most of it, and fades from memory pretty fast. Effective once, not haunting.

Written and directed by David Goyer, The Unborn is a dull and morose supernatural thriller. The story follows a college student named Casey Beldon who begins to have strange visions and comes to believe that she’s being stalked by a malicious spirit. Lead actress Odette Yustman has no charisma and gives a completely lifeless performance. And, the script is poorly written and is hard to follow (despite numerous exposition dumps). Additionally, the imagery, while disturbing at times, isn’t altogether that scary. Uninspired tripe, The Unborn is a monotonous and poorly made film.

If you already like watching these kinds of movies, the Unborn certainly doesn't try to do anything different then what has already been done, and is worth watching.
